Bits of Space is a social and spatial design studio.
We design for participation. We approach socio-spatial challenges through the lens of personal experience, and we design for collectively imagining a better near future. Our work takes shape as tangible concepts, temporary spaces, interactive experiences, expositions, spatial stories, participatory processes and speculative scenarios.
Creating space for the neighbourhood at an impossible location: a construction site! While cities are being densified, HEK YES provides the existing residents of a neighbourhood with flexible public space.

Eight colourful, interactive artworks are installed in the streets of Buiksloterham, Amsterdam Noord. They each bring you underground or to a rooftop, to highlight the otherwise invisible technologies behind the energy transition.

Spontaneous encounters are important in large organisations. But now that people often work from home, they happen less. In a 4 minute sci-fi movie, we explore the office of the future, and make sure it facilitates informal interactions in hybrid teams.
